The process was not totally without problems.1. The device - as a standalone blood pressure monitor I found this device to be much easier (so far) to use than my other digital monitor. The cuff, while small, is easier to position and I have taken my BP twice with no errors. Not so with my earlier device which gave error messages of aprox. 5-6 errors to each successful reading. Many others have stated that the device is accurate and at this point, I accept their data. The device, I therefore would award a 5 star rating. 2. The software - Install failed on the first attempt. The failure was in the .Net Framework 4.0. On the enclosed CD this is the file called dotnetfx40. This meant that the drivers would install but the software would not. I like USB for PC sync function. There is automatic power off. I was looking for turn off button or switch but there is none. Smart intelligent error detection. Overall, it was nice Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor. Good value for the money 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Solid Unit/Bad Software, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Medron Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor with Bigger LCD, USB Computer/PC Link and Hypersense Technology The unit itself and the cuff are very good. The software on the other hand is terrible. I couldn't get to sync unless I changed the program to run in XP compatibility mode(I am running Windows 7 32-bit)When it finally did sync, it only recorded 1 of the 3 tests I did. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, it's supposed to let you change "User 1" and "User 2" to names, but that didn't work either. Even worse you CAN'T PRINT your log! The reason I got this, is so I can keep track of my blood pressure, print it and give it to my doctor. Summary: GOOD Hardware VERY BAD Software |
