I compared with arm units and never got an accurate reading. I've been trying to return it but for some reason Amazon won't let me access the return site. Not sure what that is about. Don't waste your money if you need an accurate blood pressure reading. I think that is an obvious fact. It may be a little harder to use an arm band type but your health is more important. A nurse showed me how to set the arm band and just slide if off to make it easier to use the next time.
